Not enough words to describe the tour & if I could give 10 stars I would. Our guide Andrew took us places we wouldn't have known about and gave us a comprehensive history of Ireland. The small tour was perfect for us and our fellow drifters were all compatible. I can't say enough positive things about this company except that you should do yourself a favor and book a tour with them . As an aside, we had put down a deposit right before covid and couldn't go when we first planned. The company held it until we could go and they have been responsive and easy to reach ever since. The tour is fabulous, Andrew was wonderful ( a truly good person) and went above and beyond to show us the wonders of Ireland.
Great Tour!Would do another one.

Fresh back from The 7 Day Ireland Adventure Tour Intro & Highlight (not found on the TripAdvisor drop down box to write this review) and my husband, 17 yr old daugther and I had a wonderful time. We were 13 in the group, all ages from Canada & the US and we bonded over the week. High praise to our tour guide & driver Dany, who entertained us with stories, jokes, not to mention his in-depth knowlede of Irelands history and heroes. Dany also was incredibly thoughtful as he went out of his way to add special individualized touches to celebrate a few anniversaries. Does require one to be able to hike uphill a mile and to complete 3-5 mile hikes. Pack athletic sports wear like hiking pants and/or leggings. hiking shoes, rain gear and warm jacket/sweater. One suggestion would be to leave maybe a little earlier in the mornings to allow to check in hotel by 5:30 instead of 6:15 PM to allow more time to rest and change clothes before dinner as some evenings it was tight. Overall, great experience. Would do another tour with Vagabond. Highly recommend.
Wonderful trip, thanks to Vagabond

We recently returned from my 2nd Vagabond tour and I have to say that Vagabond and their guides keep getting better. Our guide on this tour was Tim - he is a talented storyteller, driver and comedian and ensured we had an amazing experience. Every day and activity was well organized and orchestrated, and Tim customized the days to our interests as much as possible. Our 16 year old came on the tour with us, and he had a great time as well on the hikes, bikes and horses. I highly recommend Vagabond (and Tim if you can get him :) ) for true Irish experience without the stress of driving on your own. Thanks to Rob, Tim and all of Vagabond for a wonderful trip.

I booked this tour in 2019 but was unable to take it until this year. Gillian and Dee in the office were wonderful with me via numerous emails and phone calls. I was able to book a 7 day tour with them that fit my schedule. When our driver/tour guide, Eamonn picked us up I knew it would be a great tour! Our group only consisted of me, my travel buddy and six others. The group meshed well together. The tour included the right amout of activity (hiking, horseback riding, bicycling, boat trip, etc.) so that we were active each day yet had time for shopping, lunch, exploring small villages on our own and with our guide. The food and lodgings were outstanding. I will be back for another tour, perhaps an 11 day tour!
Just okay

I had a wonderful time in Ireland but unfortunately the tour I was on was doomed from the start. We wanted to go on a slower paced tour so we would have more free time to do our own thing. However, all of the older individuals on our tour got sick. Some with covid, some with stomach bugs, others with colds. I do not think the tour did the right thing by allowing sickly people to continue on the tour. Sniffles are one thing, but someone who is throwing up out the door or who is not able to make it to the bathroom should be removed from the tour. It is a health hazard to be in a packed van with someone who went to the bathroom on themselves. If it were my family that came down with a sickness I would ask vagabond to help me make alternative plans and take me off the tour so that I wouldn’t ruin other peoples trips and so that I knew we were safe and keeping others safe. It was disappointing and scary to say the least. As someone who has had family members with complications that came after catching a small bug, I had to watch a domino effect occur with more and more people getting sick every day that went by. It was so sad, especially because several were elderly.

Other than sick people, we always seemed to be rushed. I thought this was a slower paced tour? Also, because of the delays we experienced with the sick people we did not get a lot of free time. We were rushed or made to feel bad that we didn’t want to stick with the group (sickly group) during free time and meals. People kept telling us we should have been on the more active vagabond tour. That was very rude as we picked this tour FOR THE FREE TIME AND SLOWER PACE so we could tailor the trip to what we wanted. The trip got better as the days went on because we realized we are not going to have a great time until we start taking more action. One lady at the end of the tour thanked my travel companion and myself for making sure we got extra stops and activities that really made her trip extra special.

Overall, this tour was fine. A lot of unfortunate things that happened were not vagabonds fault, but bad luck. But I don’t feel like anyone went the extra mile or helped the non sick people out. I wanted to wait a month or so to write this review to really be able to focus on how I felt about the tour. I wouldn’t choose vagabond again. The left over feelings I have for the tour are: disappointment, apathy, neutral.

If you go on a vagabond tour I suggest you go in and you yourself make the best of it. The guides were all nice and pleasant in their own ways but again I feel like one in particular was really just the bare minimum. Nice but not more than that, just like the tour.
